In Calci, a typical Tuscan village at the foot of the Pisa mountains, olive cultivation and oil production are very ancient traditions; here the Delle Sedie farm has stood out since 1700 for the genuine, unadulterated flavor of its extra virgin olive oil.
A centuries-old history, a tradition and a fine example among the oil producers of the area -- revived today by the latest generation of the Delle Sedie family, who have renovated the old abandoned farms, modernized the historic family olive mill and restored strength and vitality to the olive groves by careful pruning.
One travels back in time when strolling through the terraced olive groves, where thanks to the steepness of the land, agricultural labor is still performed almost exclusively by hand, aided only by small mechanical tools.
This land has never known the use of pesticides; here, "organic" is a vocation, a time-honored value handed down from generation to generation.
The old people of the village still recall the genuine, mild flavor with a slight spicy tang that distinguishes our "Fattoria Delle Sedie" oil. The IGP Toscano brand and organic certification are an extra guarantee for those who do not know us yet and want to taste our oil.
